Ryder Cup Battle

The final round stats evoke memories of the last Ryder Cup.

At Brookline, the Americans were outplayed over the first couple of days but when the heat was really turned up they produced the goods when it mattered most.

And so at Lytham on Sunday, the US side provided the winner in David Duval, outscored the Europeans heavily and holed the putts when it really mattered.

The most notable difference came in the scoring. The Europeans had been a shot better on average for the first two days and half a stroke superior on Saturday.

But today, the US side thrashed the Europeans by an average of over two shots!

The figures were slightly distorted by Pierre Fulke's woeful 83 but significantly no European broke 70.

Maggie Gyllenhaal in lesbian 'orgy' video

Maggie Gyllenhaal stars in a lesbian 'orgy' for a video campaign to support the Writer's Guild Association's strike. The actress stars in 'Speechless', a short film about three girls who arrive at a hotel room to discover they are dating the same man, "AMPiTePa," (which stands for Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers) who has stood them all up. After venting their rage at their cheating boyfriend, Gyllenhaal grabs a bottle of wine, sprawls on the bed and says suggestively, "We don't need him. We've got everything we need right here. Girls - do you want to make an interim agreement?" .

Hip-Hop Rumors: Trey Songz Beats Dude Up? B2K Part 2? Feds At Pimp C's ...

JAMES BROWN – A HIP-HOP DEDICATION.

I can't believe it has been a year since James Brown passed away. On December 22 history was made as Bootsy Collins hosted a James Brown Tribute Concert in Covington, KY. Bootsy lined up comic Michael Coylar, Chuck D, Afrika Bambaatta, Lil Boosie, James Browns most recent back up band the Soul General, the JB's, Mr. Browns MC Danny Ray, The Funky Drummers, Phunkbase, and Buckethead. The venue was very small and cramped, and the scene was not hollywood at all. Jeremy told me that Bootsy is from Cincinnati and held the event in town because King Records, where Mr. Brown recorded most of his music was in Cincinnati. Shout out to all that went.

Suddenly, I want to be older…being young isn't so cool to me right now.

IMAGINA 08: Give gamers tools, says EA's Entis

Giving gamers tools with which to create their own content is one of the most important aspects of developing games today.

That's according to Vancouver-based EA senior VP Glenn Entis, who was discussing the subject of real-time graphics in a session at Imagina 08 in Monaco.

"More than half of those that play The Sims spend more than half their time building their houses," he said, going on to point out that videogames are competing for consumers' hours if not quite yet dollars with the likes of Facebook, YouTube, Second Life, and even new technology such as iPods.

He cited on application which EA had worked on in the past, called Virtual Me, which was a partnership with TV production company Endemol, revolving around avatar design.

Made for a mass audience, there were plans to use the avatars for reality television shows in which participants would choose prospective dating partners by their avatar, for example.

Rain makes QLD Xmas an indoor affair

THE typical Queensland Christmas of sun and surf didn't eventuate today, with cooler than average temperatures in the south and heavy rainfall in some northern centres.

Brisbane experienced its coolest Christmas Day in a decade, with temperatures struggling to reach 28 degrees, and overcast conditions making it more suited to an indoor feast than a day at the beach. A Surf Lifesaving Australia spokesman said cloud cover had kept down the number of people on Gold Coast beaches this year. "Probably without the cloud cover we would have expected more. The clubs and the support services guys had been gearing up for bigger numbers,'' he said. Lifesavers are urging those who venture to the beach on Boxing Day to be wary of larger than normal tidal movements, which will make conditions dangerous.

British Airways Holidays makes booking a city break to New York even ...

Only 50 minutes from Manhattan, this Mecca of designer outlets has some 220 stores all crammed with cut-price treasures enabling visitors to wander through the Gap outlet, Nike factory, Versace and Barney's factory outlets to bag those bargains. Additional suggestions available on the site for anyone looking for a bit of peace after a hectic day include heading to the Top of the Rock observation deck and quietly soak up the sights of the city. 70 stories high, the panoramic views are unobstructed for 360 degrees through the glass panels and give a serene bird's eye view of Northern Manhattan's landmarks; even the Statue of Liberty can be seen in the distance. New York is known for good food and has over 20,000 eateries to choose from, making dining out in New York a daunting prospect for some.

Terror accused should thank the Crown, not condemn it

How many NZ journalists have done an in depth investigation into the events of 9/11 which was the turning point in the political, corporate disaster known as the "war on terror". The "terrorists" are currently occupying high posts in the US Govt. Treasonous fascists such as Bush, Cheney, etc. Do some research on 9/11. It is NOT over. We were told a bunch of LIES. The war on terror is the war on grabbing Middle East oil covered up with a horrific orchestrated event on 9/11. 9/11 was AN INSIDE JOB. Millions know this as fact. The media however continues to play the game of denial and stupidity and will not give ANY coverage to FACTS. Yellow journalism at its best is what we see here with our stupid political leaders falling for the con-job.

Tulsan is guilty in Katrina fraud case

A Tulsa man has pleaded guilty to making false statements to the Federal Emergency Management Agency to receive money earmarked for Hurricane Katrina disaster relief.

Troy Ruffin, 49, admitted that in September 2005 he falsely claimed that his primary residence was in New Orleans when the storm hit that city the previous month.

Ruffin's plea agreement says that because he did not lose his primary residence because of Katrina, he had no need for the temporary rental assistance.

U.S. Chief District Judge Claire Eagan is scheduled to sentence Ruffin, who is free on bond, on April 29.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Charles McLoughlin said sentencing options likely will range from probation to six months in prison.

The amount of financial loss in Ruffin's case was $5,918, according to his plea agreement.

Shock Poll Busts MSM Plot

Kf Hero of the Day: Gov. Strickland of Ohio, who commits a classic Kinsley gaffe, foolishly telling the truth about Iowa ... and about New Hampshire.

In an interview with The Dispatch last week, Strickland said the Iowa caucuses make "no sense." He called the GOP and Democratic caucuses "hugely undemocratic," because the process "excludes so many people." Anyone who happens to be working or is sick or too old to get out for a few hours Thursday night won't be able to participate, Strickland said.

"I'd like to see both parties say, 'We're going to bring this to an end,'" Strickland said, adding that he has no problem with the New Hampshire primary Jan. 8, because "at least it's an election." [E.A.]

Letting the presidential nominee be picked by the Iowa caucusers is like letting your antiwar tactics be picked by the last people left at the end of a 4-hour SDS meeting in 1970.
